Introduction Croc Encounters will be open for scheduled tours and events starting June of 2008. Your contribution to our sanctuary for a visit will go back to fund our rescue efforts. Please note that you must pre-register for your tour or event.
A visit to a sanctuary is different than a visit to a Zoo. We have a limited access policy. This means that only members will be allowed to tour our facilities on a limited basis. This policy ensures the integrity of the sanctuary’s animal habitats and the inhabitants themselves.
If this doesn’t work for you, why not have Croc Encounters come to you for an educational program?
When planning your visit, please read the guidelines & suggestions below:
* Dress smart – wear comfortable close-toed walking shoes! * Be prepared for sudden thunderstorms – bring an umbrella or poncho * Bring a water bottle – it is hot in Florida especially during our summer months * Wear a hat and/or sunscreen – most animal habitats are out doors * Prepare for the usual outdoor pests such as mosquitoes or ants * Cameras are welcome – but these are not solely photographic tours….be considerate to other guests on your tour * Pathways and parking areas are natural or mulch covered. Please contact us prior to your visit to arrange handicap access arrangements. * All tours begin at their scheduled times – don’t be late! * Restroom facilities are limited – please plan accordingly * Come with a willingness to learn and ENJOY!
