The Retic – We just call this massive snake “the retic” and that is what
she is, a Reticulated Python. This is the longest, largest snake at Croc
Encounters. She is over 17 feet long, her weight is unknown and she is
still growing.
When she was carried her new enclosure, it took eight people to move
her! Retics are known for being feisty and she is no exception. During a
feeding she will readily consume two to three 12 pound rabbits. The Retic
came to Croc Encounters from a pet owner in Pennsylvania.
He indicated that she was plagued with respiratory tract infections. Since
being here in hot, sunny Florida she has not had any problems. Would you
