Pinky is an adult Red-tailed Boa Constrictor. She is about 8-9 feet long,
weighs about 45 pounds and is estimated to be over 20 years old.
Pinky gets her name from the pink hue of her scales. She shares her
enclosure with another Red-tailed Boa and is easily distinguishable
because of this “pinkiness”.
Pinky was originally from Buffalo, NY and was used in education programs
in conjunction with a member of the Western New York Herpetological
Society. She is a regular at school programs and birthday parties.
When Pinky first arrived at our rescue, she had mites and a respiratory
infection. With treatment all of her problems have cleared up and she is
now in great health!
